Bright Birthday Flowers

Hello Crafty Friends,

I have another fun project to share with you that I created using the Bloom Vista stamp and die set from Little Birdie Crafts.

To start, I took a piece of the yellow paper from the Chevron In Aquarelle Collection and added a bit of stenciling with my Sparkle Paste in Arctic Shimmer.  I purposely wanted only a bit of the stenciling to show behind my focal design - kind of like it was "peeking" out.

I then stamped the floral images out onto white cardstock using some Copic friendly black ink.  I knew I wanted to use this sticker from the Floral Birthday Wishes embellishment pack so tried to coordinate colors.

After die-cutting the flowers, I played with the design, incorporating my hand-colored flowers with the sticker to make a larger focal image.  I used some dimensional tape and glue to give it more of a layered look.

I added some additional embellishment using the Pearl Drops in
Tangelo Citrus to draw the eye towards the focal point and to bring in that bright orange color.

Finally, I mounted the whole project onto dark brown cardstock and lastly onto a white card base.  I really enjoyed how this card came out.  These aren't colors I typically pick (well, except for the turquoise) but I really like the brightness of the whole design together and that shimmery paste underneath.

Until next time, be creative!
