Birthday Butterflies

Nothing screams fun to me more than a brightly colored card!

A friend of mine recently had a Birthday and we all know just how odd it is to have a milestone during this time of Pandemic and not really be able to celebrate in the same ways we are accustomed to.  I wanted to be sure she had a bit of happy in her day so I created this card with that in mind.

She and I both have an affinity for Butterflies so I knew I just had to incorporate those on her card.  I used a stamp set that was in my Monthly Card Kit from Simon Says Stamp - Beautiful Butterflies.  I love the details in these stamps and think they look awesome just stamped in a really crisp black ink.

Background was a fun mix of Glimmer Mists in the colors Fully Purple and Pink Bubblegum.  I just played around with those colors and a plain water sprayer until I liked what I saw.

For the greeting, I used another SSS set called Window Frames.  There is something about this type of font and positioning that I really liked how its all justified to the left - something different.

I used a piece of Watercolor paper for my main image area and a piece of DSP from Forever In Time "Perfect Prints - Vivid Dots" paper stack.  Craft cardstock is from Stampin' Up!  Embellishments are also Stampin' Up!

I used the die from Tim Holtz called Stacked Deckle to cut my final image.
