Hello Everyone!
I so enjoy getting my Card Kit every month by Simon Says Stamp- its like a class in a box.
This month (August) the kit was all about Pandas and it is such a fun stamp set!
Here's my first card made with the kit. There are a sheet of samples included in every kit to use for inspiration but I prefer to jump right in and see where my creativity takes me.
For this card, I started with a white card base that I white heat embossed using the present stamp. I then used the fabulous blending brushes by Picket Fence Studios to add my Distress Inks in the colors of Peacock Feathers and Picked Raspberry. I just love how blending these two made purple at the transition line where the two colors blend together!
You can see that I used black embossing powder to heat emboss my Panda and the Happy balloons. I colored my balloons using various shades of Chameleon Alcohol Markers.
I then layered some Spectrum Noir Sparkle Glitter Pen in Clear pen over top of the balloons to give them more of a glittery sheen. This fun pen was included in the Card Kit as well.
Here's a look at the stamp set that came in the kit.
I adore the different sized fonts in the greetings and sentiments - so many possibilites!
The rainbow paper strip is also from the kit. They always include a handful of beautifully coordinating 6x6 papers. I used these to gather my color scheme while creating this fun card.
I hope my sweet and cheerful Panda brightens your day!
Thanks for taking a look today. Hope you have a fabulous week!
